Job Title: Project Management Intern

Location: Lagos
Department: Technical
Job Type: Contract


  • Assist in daily supervision of construction works at site and ensure conformance to design specifications as well as HSE compliance.
  • Provide engineering and management support to the project engineer/manager.
  • Carry out daily site works assessment and assist in preparation of daily reports.
  • Assist in supervising and managing contractors on site.
  • Prepare site logs, document events and prepare minutes of site meetings.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Civil Engineering or Building Technology student from a reputable institution.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Multitasking & Problem solving skills.
  • Composure under pressure is compulsory.
  • Good CPGA will be an advantage.

Demands of the Job:

  • Daily site resumption and participation in project team’s meeting
  • Regular communication and reporting to project engineer/manager.

Job Title: Sales Account Manager

Location: Lagos

  • Identify new business opportunities, initiate business development activities, develop and manage key relationships
  • Serve as the lead customer contact for all account management matters (technical and business issues) to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support Head of Unit to manage and execute business development strategy and implement tactical plans to help meet sales and revenue targets
  • Use existing relationships with partners and customers to generate new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline / account planning
  • Proper analytics, reporting of sales forecast and key account metrics
  • Clearly communicate the progress on sales initiatives to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Head of unit to identify product offerings and features beneficial to the assigned territory
  • Assist with customer requests and issue escalations as needed
  • Manage contract milestones for extension and renewal of contracts
  • Keep up to date with the Asian market and provide business intelligence as required.

Job Title: Manager – Capital Projects

Location: Lagos

  • Provide project management leadership and promote best practice in Project Management, ensuring assigned projects are delivered to agreed specifications, timelines and approved budget
  • Design Data Centre infrastructure components in line with applicable international standards and ensuring detailed and accurate specification of components
  • Manage implementation of Data Centre projects or any other assigned Projects ensuring projects are delivered effectively and most efficiently.
  • Analyze potential project risks as well as barriers and define appropriate mitigating plans to enable timely resolution or outright avoidance.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structure and detailed project management documentations, including milestones and responsibilities share on all assigned projects.
  • Develop processes and work standards required for the implementation of projects, and monitor compliance to ensure the set objectives are met.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Capital Projects departmental processes, keeping custody of all departmental process documents.
  • Guide the Technical team’s capital expenditure for the company in line with the strategic plan and report on the CAPEX spend on Capital projects, ensuring consideration of financial and technical tradeoffs as well as compliance with all fiscal and regulatory parameters.
  • Perform strategic planning and financial analysis, including budget preparation and obtaining necessary approvals for all assigned capital projects.
  • Monitor the budget for capital projects; oversee their financial effectiveness by exercising cost control measures, motivating for budget enhancements when required.
  • Monitor and administer the relevant contracts and agreements for each project.
  • Measure the delivery of the technical key performance indicators (KPIs) especially as it relates to the capital projects.
  • Prepare reports and make presentations on all assigned projects as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • First degree in Electrical & Electronics or related Engineering discipline. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 8 years work experience, Five (5) of which must have been in leading and directing Telecoms or allied infrastructure projects.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is also a requirement for this position.
  • Must be numerate with excellent Project Management skills and competency in desktop research.
  • Excellent engineering design skills, good knowledge of Data Centre infrastructure design principles are key requirements for this role.
  • Other skills such as planning and organization, budgeting, policy design and development, process improvement, negotiation, presentation and strategic planning are also required for this role.

  • Overall successful outcome of all assigned capital projects, ensuring projects meet the agreed quality standards and are delivered on time, within budget and allocated resources.
  • The Manager, Capital Projects will manage vendors and partners involved in projects, ensuring all projects are executed in line with MainOne business objectives and strategic plan.
  • The Manager, Capital Projects will also be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments typically involved in the technical management of the core network including Technical Procurement.
