Title: 2022 GT Program – Data Center Track

Location: Nigeria

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • We are looking to recruit young, smart and committed individuals who are self-starters to join our Graduate Trainee Program, Nigeria – Data Center Track.
  • Our Tier III Data Centers are located in Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire and offer a variety of Colocation, Cloud, and Interconnection services delivered via state-of-the-art infrastructures.
  • Our ideal candidate is resourceful, versatile, analytical, assertive and audacious with a problem-solving mindset. He or she must be interested in building a career in the Telecommunications and Technology sector, act with integrity at all times and buy into MainOne’s vision of being West Africa’s communications solutions provider of choice.

Program Structure

  • The MainOne Graduate Trainee Program is a 6-week intensive experience designed to provide a robust foundation for smart Graduates who desire to build careers in their chosen field. The Program combines classroom and practical training including role plays, to equip participants with the tools and knowledge required to succeed in MainOne.
  • An offer of full-time employment with MainOne is guaranteed for candidates who successfully complete the Graduate Trainee Program.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
Eligibility Requirements:

  • Candidates must be graduates with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper qualification (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
  • Relevant certification(s) such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL and/or a relevant post-graduate degree would be an advantage
  • Ability to work with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) is essential
  • Ability to speak French is an added advantage
  • Candidates should have 0 – 3 years post NYSC experience.
  • Demonstration of leadership through extra-curricular activities

Job Title: HR Planning Intern (L&D and Performance Management)

Location: Nigeria
Department: Corporate Services & Development
Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • The HR Intern will provide administrative support for MainOne’s Learning and Development function, facilitating a smooth implementation of the company’s training plan to maintain a skilled and productive workforce.
  • The ideal candidate will also support the performance management function.

Specific Responsibilities
Learning and Development:

  • Coordinate learning and development programs for employees
  • Conduct post training evaluation analysis
  • Maintenance of a Knowledge Management/Sharing Database
  • Provide administrative support for ITF submissions
  • Attend to all training related enquiries from employees
  • Keep up to date with developments in learning and development
  • Support the implementation of approved trainings, learning and development plans, for employees and teams
  • Research for and/or develop training materials for in-house courses as required
  • Support in the delivery of learning and development programs as required
  • Assign licenses to employees to access courses on the learning hub
  • Tracking of training completion

Performance Management:

  • Manage and track the receipts of references for confirmation purposes
  • Manage the performance management cycle for junior employees (interns and service assistants)
  • Track performance management outcomes for the assigned cadre and ensure they are implemented.
  • Follow up with line managers to retrieve probationary reports on employees due for confirmation
  • Prepare letters of confirmation monthly for approved confirmed employees

Ad-hoc Tasks:

  • Provide support on HR Special Projects including conducting research as required.
  • Complete other ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of Social Science or Humanities.
  • Analytical skills
  • Interpersonal and team working abilities.
  • Prioritization and time management skills to manage multiple activities to accomplish desired end results within stipulated timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, oral, and presentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
