We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Government Key Account Manager

Location: Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria
Job Type: Full-time · Mid-Senior level
Reporting line: Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose

  • The Governmental Key account Manager’s responsibilities include maintaining a thorough knowledge of our business and offerings, developing and implementing strategic plans to grow accounts, managing and strengthening the governmental sector relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver on client expectations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identifies leads or opportunities for all the governmental sector to achieve the sales target and engages in an assessment of the opportunity.
  • Prepares and maintain a complete information to be ready for reporting all the time, with the status of each opportunity / lead details.
  • Handles and responds to all client inquiries and correspondence.
  • Brings in sales opportunities for the country across the assigned key account, as per his sales target.
  • Follows-up on client proposals and monitors the order processing and cash flow status of the project.
  • Ensures appropriate marketing & pricing strategies are developed to the account.
  • Understands key government market drivers, trends, insights, needs and client buying behavior to create and deliver value propositions that respond to the client’s value drivers.
  • Works with all sales Team Members, in all regions, on competitive positioning and selling of meaningful value propositions and solutions.
  • Builds new client relations and brings in new client accounts.
  • Establishes productive relationships with the assigned partners in the government sector.
  • Acting as a focal point between partners and various internal departments.
  • Handles all communications and problems that arise in the relevant account.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business or in a relevant field
  • 8-15 years of work experience in account management in a related industry with the Government Sector.
  • Proven Influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels.
  • Proven track record on relationship building skills.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to change and a strong focus on Customer Service.
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a highly challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Attentive to details and showing strategic insights in delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executives.
  • Proven key account management and project planning skills.

Job Title: Sales Manager (Utilities)

Job Purpose

  • Drive profitable growth of the region via building strong relationships with the electricity generation, transmission and distributions companies in Nigeria as well as the new & renewables companies in order to attain sales targets and growing Elsewedy Electric Business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for finding and developing new market opportunities to improve sales of the full portfolio of products, services and solutions of Elsewedy Electric in Nigeria.
  • Responsible for formulating and maintaining key account strategy plans, including the electricity generation, transmission, distributions companies and the new & renewable energy as well.
  • Maps key stakeholders within key strategic customers and build good relationship.
  • Promotes and Sells Elsewedy Electric products, services and solutions
  • Communicates regularly and consistently with the Regional Sales Director on all quotation activity and status.
  • Develop various sales reports and sales activity reports.
  • Creates added value for the customer and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
  • Creates a customer service culture, demonstrating excellent customer service, and proactively seeking opportunities to make lasting relationship with customers.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
  • Monitors pipeline activities and accounts’ opportunities & wins and losses to develop growth strategies and action plans.
  • Builds sales pipeline via customer visits, site visits, training, sales presentations.
  • Analyzes opportunities, acts upon them, creates and maintains funnel of opportunities commensurate with growth ambition of the company and communicate those to senior management.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline from a local or internationally recognized institution is preferred, MBA is plus
  • 8 to 15 years of solid experience in Sales or Business Development functions
  • An Established network with the Key persons in the electricity generation, transmission and distributions companies in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent listening and negotiating abilities combined with the aptitude to run high value sales strategies
  • Excellent organizations skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of the issues facing the generation, transmission and distribution sectors and the challenges and opportunities.
  • Good knowledge about Cables, transformers and Energy Solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of the Local market.
